Chemo cake

Just before her last day of chemo for Stage 3 breast cancer, Diane Bennett stopped by her local Walmart bakery to pick up two cakes. She had ordered them to thank the hospital workers who had helped her get through the treatment.

As she headed to check out, Bennett was surprised to see “congratulations” and “paid” written on the box. A kind Walmart employee had paid the $50 she owed.

Bennett – who hasn’t been working during treatment – says she’ll definitely “pay it forward” as she has further surgery and radiation. She was “so touched that someone would acknowledge [her] fight, which has been tough.” See Bennett meet and thank the generous Walmart employee!
